Excited to share that a package I’ve been working on for CNET the past few months has finally been published. It’s a detailed breakdown of the considerations and available options for getting broadband internet access when you live off-grid.
This follows on a series I did last summer that details all sorts of questions we’ve faced in our off-grid journey and the answers we came up with (both right and wrong).
In other news, I recorded an interview for a national public radio show called Here and Now that is tentatively set to air on June 26.
Lots of off-grid basics can be found in all these articles (and the forthcoming interview), but it’s also left us wondering what aspects of being off-grid people might be interested in that we haven’t covered.
We’ve used this space to get into some of the more personal and even philosophical aspects of the often strange choices we’ve made with our lives, but would love to offer whatever insight we can on more practical or even DIY matters for the off-grid curious. Also happy to delve into more detail about anything covered in the CNET series.
In other words, we’re taking requests. Hop in the discussion and add a comment if you’ve got one.
Oh, and if you want even more of the personal/philosophical discussion, subscribe now to a very fun and enlightening podcast called Hotel Bar Sessions, where I’ll be a guest in a few weeks. One of my favorite conversations ever about all things off-grid.
Clearly, it’s a very busy summer on the Mesa and even more excitement is coming up that we hope to be able to share soon. We appreciate you checking up on us. Let us know how we can be of service on whatever journey you’re on.
